Stardust

I descovered Neil Gaiman 6 years ago when i started date my exbofriend,I´m interested in anime and japan since I was 11 but I knew almost nothing about american/european comic but my ex introduced me to Gaiman and now is one of my favourites authors.Gaiman write the plot and other authors make the illustrations of his graphic novels or comics.(if you like great stories,you should read 1602 and Neverwhere)

Anyway, I love Neil Gaiman stories and this movie is based in one of his stories,for me it remember a little bit the world of the princess bride.

Tristan the main character decided across the wall to bring to his love a fallen start but when he is in the other side he realized that the other part of the wall is another world and the start is not a stone is a beautiful girl that all the people want.

Stars that fallen from the sky,princess,a wall between 2 worlds...Its really fantastic!!!!I have the special edition of this movieXD,and i think it´s a great movie to watch today,outside is raining and cold(RaincouverXD)

The Breakfast Club

I´m feel a little retro today and i decided that my movie recommendation for today is ne from the 80´s: the breakfast club.

I like this movie a lot,its not a very pretentious movie,it has one of the famous actors from the 80´s

Emilio estevez( i was in love with him when i was little)Molly Ringwald one of the teenagers icons in that epoch and a curiosity, Molly almost was Vivian Ward the main Character in Pretty Woman but she refused it and the producters gave it to Julia Roberts.it's interesting,isn't it?

the plot is about a bunch of students that need spend the saturday at the school.but its interesting.i hope you will enjoy :D

Dogville

Today im feeling more modern XD.no movies from the 40 or 50 :P

Today´s movie is from 2003 and the director is Lars Von Trier.My first contact with him was with the adaptation to Us television of his miniserie the kingdom. i liked this show and when one of my friends suggested me to watch this movie i say yes.

First of all,Von trier its a very special director he never travel by plane and i think i read that he has agoraphobia.

The movie was filming in an hangar and the buildings of fictional town are drawing on the floor.no walls.no doors,only a few elements,its very interesting.

The plot trap you very fast.you can feel angry,sadness and happinest watching this movie.I like it a lot(I saw recently other von Trier movie but my friends almost killed me and i think im no allow to choose movies soonXD)

Adam´s rib

I was a kind of lazy the last month and i didn´t put any new movie but I can recover the time lost:P( with a time machime maybeXD)

This is my today recommendation.The Adam´s Rib.

It´s one of the funniest movies that i´ve never seen,the main characters are Spencer Tracy and Katherine Hepburn.Sometimes you like a movie and the actors they are the perfect actors for the characters but in this case you have more,you can feel the magic that exist between the both actors in the movie and that don´t happen always only sometimes.

I think my favorite scene is between Adam and his wife at the court that they call each other with the names that they use in their private lifes.Its really funny.

I was thinking all day in this movie,I saw this movie 2 or 3 times(always in tve2 and at strange hours )

It is a Ingmar Bergman movie,this is the plot :

The title characters are children in the exuberant and colorful Ekdahl household in a Swedish town early in the twentieth century. Their parents, Oscar and Emilie, are the director and the leading lady of the local theatre company. Oscar's mother and brother are its chief patrons. After Oscar's early death, his widow marries the bishop and moves with her children to his austere and forbidding chancery. The children are immediately miserable. The film dramatizes and resolves those conflicts. A sub-plot features Isak, a local Jewish merchant who is the grandmother's lover and whose odd household becomes the children's refuge.

Rear Window

One of my favorites movies.It´s funny that I know all the plot but I always get nervous when I watch the final scene:P.

The story is about a guy that has a car accident and he stays in his house for a long time and his distraction is looking to the people in his neighborhood and he thinks that one of his neighbor killed his wife.

I really love this movie,I watched 4 or 5 times.

This is my recomendation for today(raining day in Vancouver)

Now that I am in Vancouver and I try to watch movies to improve my listening I was thinking in put the movies that I like or that I watched.

I will start with my favorite movie the comedy Arsenic and Old lace this movie is from 1944 and the director is Frank Capra and it is a dark comedy(it was a play at the theater and Capra bought it and made the movie)

I can put one of my favorites scenes of the movie,normally when i speak Im very enthusiastic and I tried to stop because the people want to feel the same than me XD
